Strawberry Parfait constructed out of leftover frozen pancakes. Original recipe and surface design courtesy of Min!
Min’s morning smoothie: greek yogurt, frozen raspberries and bananas, honey.
Brought out the very first cookbook I ever bought, the Silver Palate, purchased at the now defunct Schuler Books in Okemos, MI that once had a building in the Meijer’s outlot. Schuler’s took it over from a Tandy clothing store where I recall going through a big Lone Justice-Jessica McClintock phase in middle school. Beef Carbonnade for the win.
Yup. That’s cold meatloaf with ketchup for breakfast.
Fridge-cleanout breakfast at my desk (spinach, bell pepper, and onion sauteed in olive oil, topped with kalamata olives, red pepper flakes, and lemon) and pan-fried ribeye, steamed asparagus, and roasted potatoes with rosemary for dinner.
Decimated the previous loaf making grilled cheese sandwiches for brunch, so the remaining crumbs were turned into meatballs and made a new loaf for last night’s dinner, this time with flaxseed. Toasted some slices to have with the turkey meatballs and roasted broccoli.
DHJ’s menu: chicken curry (with his bespoke spice rub), naan-ish (in homage to the Frankies), whole milk greek yogurt, brown rice, green beans. Vanilla gelato with goat’s milk bourbon caramel for dessert. Miller Lite.
